Aswekeepsearching Set To Drop New Album 'ROOH' In September
India's first band to grab attention internationally for their Hindi post-rock music, aswekeepsearching is ready to drop their third album "ROOH". The band, well known for their hits like 'Khwaab' and 'Zia', have turned entrepreneurs by introducing innovative launches like their first apparel line - Zia -  and an interactive fan club - AWKS Gazers. The Ahmedabad/Pune based band has achieved much since its inception including playing on tours in Europe and also brand collaborations with Vans India, OnePlus, Redbull etc. Known for their instrumental music interspersed with vocals, the band has been a regular part of the NH7 Weekenders. They are known for their stage theatrics, including having dance acts mixed with fire stunts, leaving the audience spellbound with their dreamy live sets. They recently performed their setlist tour across various cities in India including Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune, among others, which witnessed packed venues of fans, singing along in choruses. Starting early this year, the band has been working to amp-up their image. They also recently announced their edgy new four-member outfit and logo.

The band’s latest lineup comprises of Uddipan Sarmah on guitars and vocals), Shubham Gurung on guitar and synth, Robert Alex on the bass & their newest member - Sambit Chatterjee on drums and percussion. They are also making a shfit from their iconic ‘bird’ symbol to the band’s new logo that comprises of four lines, symbolic of their minimalist identity.

Apart from their visual identity, the band also runs Zia - which is their sustainable apparel and merch line. It is inspired by their second album, which launched earlier this year, in June.

The band’s shift in musical identity will be reflected in their upcoming album ‘ROOH’, which is scheduled to go live on September 27th. ‘ROOH’, meaning ‘soul’, is a musical adaptation of the band's experiences, struggles, emotions & self-awareness over the years, and will see an increase in lyrics & vocals compared to the band’s usual instrumental-led identity.

Even ahead of their official album launch, the band decided to go down the unconventional route of taking a few of their new songs to their fans through listening sessions, in association with OnePlus, across the country, which started inJuly. Having already completed the North and Northeast leg of the tour, these listening sessions will now make their way across West and Central India, in August.
