Ananya Birla is one of the leading creative entrepreneurs that India has! An incredibly talented musician, a mental health advocate and a passionate feminist. As a woman of entrepreneurial blood, 24-year-old Ananya Birla is the Founder and Director of Svatantra Microfin, an organization that focuses on the upliftment of rural women by providing them micro-finance options for their small businesses. She also co-founded the mental health organization, MPower, that focuses on raising awareness for mental well-being and also provides services to tackle mental health issues.

Ananya's journey with music started at the young age of 9. A self-taught guitar and santoor player, she found her calling in music while performing on open mic nights while at Oxford. Signed by Universal Music India, Ananya is the first Indian artist to have an English single that went Platinum. Her music has graced the charts in India, US, UK, UAE, and Southeast Asia. She’s also performed at various music festivals including Global Citizens Concert and Sunburn India. The video for the hit single went live on April 5th and has since racked up over 10 million views. Directed by the acclaimed Karishma Chavan, the video features 14 strong and inspiring women including boxer Mary Kom, Actress Juhi Chawla and tennis star Sania Mirza. The music video celebrates women power in all its capacities.
